One of my favorite seedheads that will just throw itself around the garden…I forgot to get those seeds this year and move them to other spots…oh well more chives this summer.
Sadly mine don’t appear to self-seed, or it could be that the seedlings look like grass and I remove them. Christina
Garlic chives is about my favorite herb. I use them in cooking a lot. I love the look of the seed heads. Here they will reseed like crazy. I removed them from the more cultivated areas of my garden and am letting them have their way in the wildflower area.
Beautiful! Mine have been ruined by fall rains this year. I love the way they reflect light.
Like Alberto mine seedheads were a soggy mess quite some time ago but they are wonderful seedheads
Mine usually stand until spring or I get fed up with them. Even though we have had lots of rain everything is standing well, I suppose the temperatures so far have only been just below zero. Christina
