May Feast – Hope of things to come

Pomegranite flowers are a promise of the bounty to come.  I love to eat them and I now also have a recipe for making jelly and I also make juice which is delicious, recipes will appear as and when the fruit is ripe (October).

  1. Today my husband was ecstatic, he had found one tiny bud on his pomegranate tree. He has grown it from seed and tends it paternally. I don’t think we will be able to have any edible pomegranates in this region but he does, he acquired a fruit variety 2 years ago which has not survived the winter well.
Pomegranates are lovely trees rewarding you with blossom, fruit and pretty leaves but they need more warmth than we can give them here.
