    • I don’t often show the direction towards the road, but just now the blosson continues on the lane, these are wild plums, small and yellow and also sweet and good to eat.

  1. I am always surprised by how early the plums blossom out (slow learner, I guess). Portland has lots of them as street trees and they go a long way to alleviate the gloom of February.

    • I admit to always being a bit surprised too, yesterday though I saw one of the peaches is flowering – now that is early as I chose late blossoming trees because I didn’t want to loose fruit every year.

  2. What a completely different view, I don’t think I’ve seen this one before, although I’ve seen the closeups of the perovskia squares… nice 🙂
    I guess there’s no denying spring has arrived in your neck of the woods, can’t wait to see the flowers really take off!

    • the plums are quite small but sweet, the tree isn’t actually be heathly so the crop is usually just enough to enjoy the fresh fruit. I’ve just planted two other plums so I hope in time to have some lovely plums to use.
