I was just taking pictures of one this morning. I love their height and have three potfuls of seedlings which need attention shortly… unfortunately my favorite types don’t seed out as freely as the others so I need to nurse them along to start.
Some years there are lots on the slope others years less, it is part of the pleasure of not knowing what will come up each year that I love about the slope.
Christina maravilloso su Verbascum. Yo tengo muchísimos en el jardín que nacen solos y muchos con varios brazos. Aquí los llamamos Gordobolos . Saludos de Margarita.
I’ve got a few that have blown in and I love them. I don’t think they are exactly the same species as they look slightly different but that is only to be expected. Amelia
Beautiful. I love verbascum and have seen few in my local park.
Do they grow in the countryside or do they have to be planted where you are.
They grow wild, I’ve seen the moth mullein and the great one too. I like their height.
I seem to have been lucky and not seen the moth on these wild mullein but they devastated a hybrid

Ahah! bellissimo!
Great combination – Verbascum, Stipa, Perovskia. The texture and color of each go together really well. Oddly Verbascum is mostly seen as a weed here.
This grows out in the countryside here too so I suppose technically it could be thought of as a weed ot as a native plant of value!
Wow!

How fabulous. Do you grow echium pininana Christina?
No, but a friend has given me a tiny cutting of a slightly tender Echium she has, I’ll have to check which one it is.
