In a vase on Monday – Simple Pleasures

Another lovely day day with the promise that I can work outside for much of the day; but there is time before that to choose some flowers for a vase to share with Cathy at Rambling in the Garden.

Welcome to Garden Bloggers’ Foliage Day.  Sorry I am a day late but life rather got in the way.  I also have to admit that nothing very different is happening in My Hesperides Garden regarding foliage this month.

In a vase on Monday – Tulips season continues

OK, so I know I am a bit obsessed with tulips; but when a flower has so many different colours to choose from, and the different varieties flower over such a long period AND you can control their flowering to some extent I don’t think my obsession is so hard to understand.

In a vase on Monday – Bounty!!

No, not the bounty you eat, but vases of tulips to enjoy.

Cathy at Rambling in the Garden has some gorgeous Iris today, I have too few of those to pick but I do have more tulips.

Spring IS coming!

The weather is very mixed at the moment, but the very cold temperatures are gone for a while although we are still threatened with some snow this month – I’ve no idea if it will actually snow here.  On sunny, clear sky days there is already real warmth in the sun and the greenhouse heats up quickly if I don’t open the door early.  On dull days, like today it doesn’t feel very warm but most days this week the temperatures have reached double figures during the day , dropping by 5 or 6°C at night.

In a vase on Monday – Enough to share

Monday brings the opportunity to share what we have found in our gardens to put in a vase with Cathy at Rambling in the Garden.  This makes Monday one of the best days of the week!
