Day and night

The weather has warmed up enough to invite friends to have appericena (more food than an aperitivo but not a formal dinner.  It has become a popular way of entertaining here; less work for the hostess and less calories in these days where everyone is trying to eat less.

Thursday evening was one such evening.  The garden provided a great back drop with the perfume of honeysuckle and Trachelospernum jasminoides and sculpture provided by lights and native Alliums.

By day it looks like this.

  1. Christina the garden looks magical night with balls that have a special light. The native Alliums look like sculptures rather than flowers. I love your garden at night. And by day too. Have a good weekend. Take care. Greetings from Margarita.

  2. Your lights put off such a soothing glow, and I can’t believe the alliums seeded in on their own! What luck, and your guests must really enjoy the night.
